Dnes se naše odvážná parta deváťáků vydala na výměnný pobyt do slunného (ehm, momentálně spíš deštivého) Sagunta ve Španělsku. Počasí na pobřeží hlásilo spíš dramatický thriller než pohodový výlet, takže jsme celou cestu napjatě sledovali, jestli vůbec odletíme. Letecká společnost se ale tvářila, že je všechno v nejlepším pořádku – a tak jsme letěli!
Krátký přestup v Curychu jsme zvládli jako profíci, a když už jsme se pohodlně usadili v letadle, přišlo oznámení o zpoždění 50 minut. Naštěstí nám pustili Toma a Jerryho, což vyvolalo v naší skupině nečekanou vlnu radosti.
Po příletu nás přivítal pan učitel Sergio, který nás metrem a vlakem bezpečně doprovodil až do Sagunta. Tam už čekaly hostitelské rodiny, které naše žáky přivítaly s otevřenou náručí a odvezly je domů. Následovalo seznamování, první kulturní šoky (ano, večeře se tu jí později!) a zabydlování.

Today, our brave crew of ninth-graders set off on an exchange trip to sunny (well, currently rather rainy) Sagunto, Spain. The coastal weather forecast read more like a suspense thriller than a relaxing getaway, so we spent the journey anxiously wondering if we’d even take off. The airline, however, acted like everything was perfectly fine — so off we flew!
We nailed the short transfer in Zurich like seasoned travelers, and just as we settled comfortably into our seats, came the announcement: a 50-minute delay. Luckily, they played Tom and Jerry on the screens, which sparked an unexpected wave of joy in our group — cartoon chaos clearly never gets old.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sergio, who safely guided us via metro and train all the way to Sagunto. There, host families were already waiting with open arms, greeting our students and taking them to their new homes. What followed was a round of introductions, first cultural surprises (yes, dinner happens later here!), and settling in.
